Chapter One
Hello, my name is Neva and I’m going to tell you how I completely ruined my life, and loved every second of it. It all started a year ago, I had just turned twenty-one, was already a manager of a bank in the small town where I lived, had a promising career ahead of me and I was in what I thought was a very healthy relationship with my fiancée Lee. We were both working long hours trying to balance seeing each other with the extra hours spent at work and it meant that we barely saw each other and when we did, it was late and we were both tired. I lived in a small flat in the small town where I worked and Lee officially still lived with his parents though he spent more time staying here.
A few months later I decided it had been far too long since we’d had a proper date night so I arranged to finish work early, take the train into the city and went to surprise him at work. Lee worked in the city for one of top lawyer firms and he had even recently got his own office. The young receptionist recognised me and smiled warmly before signing me in and calling up to Lee. There was no answer but she let me through with a guest pass anyway knowing I knew my way around. Ignoring the nervous glances from the people that worked for my partner I made my way to his office, deciding against knocking I opened the door to see him kissing his boss who was sitting on his lap. For a second my world froze as shock took over, my body numb, my mind empty except for the need to get out of the room. Lee was too involved with kissing his boss and beginning to remove her clothes that he didn’t even see me. The shock stopped me from yelling at him there as I abashedly stumbled out of the office, his co-workers looks of sympathy making it all the worse.

One of my Christian friends made a Facebook post about how PP gave her tons of resources when she was trying to get pregnant and people were actually genuinely shocked that they provided such resources; they had fully bought into the idea that PP is just an “abortion factory”. The misinformation that’s been spread about PP is unreal.
